FAQs
Is therapy right for me?
Beginning or returning to therapy can feel daunting, confusing, and hopeful all at once. If you’re struggling in relationships, noticing patterns you want to change, or feeling weighed down by anxiety, fear, panic, flashbacks, self-doubt, or low self-esteem, therapy can be a supportive place to begin. I’m always happy to connect and talk about whether working together feels like a good fit.
Will I have to talk about things I'm not ready to?
No! I use a trauma informed and client-centered approach, which means we move at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you. I follow your lead, while offering gentle pushes only when helpful. Each treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and readiness.
Why work with an LCSW?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I see people in the context of their whole lives — including relationships, past experiences, and the environments you navigate every day. I don’t pathologize you or your feelings; instead, I focus on understanding your story and what has shaped you. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you heal old wounds, set boundaries, and create the changes you want to see. Social work values acceptance, cultural awareness, and social justice, which means my practice is welcoming and affirming for all people.

What if I am in crisis?
Crisis can look different for everyone, and it can feel overwhelming or confusing. I encourage you to reach out so we can explore what kind of support might be most helpful right now. If you or a loved one are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please visit here for resources where you can connect with trained professionals who are available to support you right away. I’m not available 24/7, and it may take a few days for me to respond to emails, so it’s important to use these resources when something feels urgent. You don’t have to face this alone.
